Marketing Content Specialist

Location: Eatontown, NJ

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Marketing Content Specialist will plan and write content for print, web, social media, blogs and digital communications. This role will be responsible for updating content on the website that must adhere to SEO practices. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role requires an excellent writer, knowledgeable in social media, knowledgeable in HTML codes and able to build and own the editorial calendar for all Aspire channels. The Content Specialist will focus on generating content with varying tone, voice and format (social messaging, factoids, audio & video, listicles, infographics, and web copy), with specific focus on providing IT thought leadership appealing to technical audiences. The responsibility of the Marketing Content Specialist includes email content creation and administering the Marketing Automation Tool – HubSpot for Marketing email and communications distribution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:  OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED

General responsibilities:

  • Manage and facilitate content strategy and creation across media channels to expand our digital presence, and facilitate the acquisition and nurturing of new prospects and clients.
  • Planning and execution of targeted acquisition campaigns across media including email, social media, SEM, paid media, and website
  • Partner with internal teams to develop and manage an editorial calendar of forward-thinking content for all channels.

    • Techcasts and Webinars
    • Video production
    • Case studies / Success stories
    • Press releases
    • Company newsletter
    • Photography/videography of company events
  • Measure marketing content effectiveness with analytics tools and track performance.
  • Manage, Host, Record, Moderate customer-facing Techcasts and Webinars and curates the same for on-demand broadcast

Social Media:

  • Initiate, engage, and drive the voice of the brand across different platforms to increase awareness, customer acquisition, engagement, and brand loyalty
  • Develop social media strategy for Aspire utilizing analytics, calendaring, posting, and monitoring best practices
  • Source, write and produce content and imagery with marketing, sales and solutions team input
  • Prepare a weekly calendar of social media posts based on relevant and current priorities and initiatives; for review and approval.
  • Track and report on social media performance in terms of followers, engagement, and impressions and provide feedback on areas needing improvement.

Website & Email Management:

  • Maintain Aspire’s external website on an ongoing basis – including managing content that is SEO guided and perform updates to:
    • Blogs, Trends, and News
    • Techcasts and Webinars on Demand
    • Press Releases
    • Events
    • Careers
    • Website Landing Pages
  • Track and report on Google Analytics, ZoomInfo Company Visits for website traffic and browser behaviors
  • Develop e-mail campaigns and schedule e-blasts promoting brand awareness, campaigns, webinars & events via the Marketing Automation Tool – HubSpot
  • Knowledge of HubSpot for email automation and reporting
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Film/Video Production, Graphic Design or related field. Knowledge of web management, curation, HTML coding.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience developing content for technical audiences.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Film/Video Production, Graphic Design or related field. Knowledge of web management, curation, HTML coding.
  •  5 + years’ experience developing content for technical audiences

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Be a highly motivated and energetic team player with a pro-active attitude
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Possess a clear understanding of social media community management
  • Be a creative thinker and self-starter who takes initiative in executing big ideas
  • Experience with Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Google Analytics, HootSuite, Photoshop, YouTube, and other content marketing, distribution and optimization tools
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot email automation platform creating email templates, forms, landing pages, and segmentation
  • Ability to organize, prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change in priorities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong working relationships

  • Computer skills: Proficiency with MS Office to include, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
