Senior Solutions Architect

The Senior Solutions Architect (IoT-IT) drives the exploration and development of Industrial Technologies, including but not limited to Wireless, IoT and Security. The candidate will also be responsible for engaging with clients and translating client requirements into clearly defined and defendable end to end architectures with service delivery strategies, to be used by the Aspire Delivery Teams to address client outcomes across industrial technologies. Engage with customers to align This candidate must also be willing to assist in developing pre-sale solution proposals and deliver on projects, as necessary.


  • Engagement Management – Meet with clients and collect client requirements. Provide presales engineering support, manage engagement risk and project economics; including planning and budgeting, defining deliverable content, and ensuring buy-in of proposed solutions from client.
  • Provide presales support to the Sales team in the way of gathering initial requirements, fitting technology to the needs of the customer, and documenting the solution in the form of Bills of Material, Statements of Work and Professional Services Estimators.
  • Demonstrate Partner products and Aspire service offering features and capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities and sell services to both new and existing clients. Influence expected product and services revenue and gross profit through the management of Client and Aspire Sales Team expectations.
  • Interact with the post-sales and project management teams to ensure alignment between presales and post-sales activities and ensure quality client outcomes.
  • Manage executive and senior executive-level Client stakeholder relationships and assist the Sales Teams in understanding and positioning Aspire Technology Solutions and services to clients.
  • Provide thought leadership by participating in industry forums, events, speaking engagements, and social media.
  • Manage production of project deliverables, budget, and presentations to client personnel and leadership
  • Stay up to date on the latest technologies and be able to apply these technologies to affect customer business outcomes.
  • Provide regular updates to the leadership and sales teams on industrial technologies.
  • Communicate and cooperate with project management and technical peers to effectively plan, execute, and complete project engagements.
  • Ability to understand Aspire’s Managed Services offerings and provide presales support to the sales team on Managed Service opportunities
  • Gather, consolidate, prepare, document and distribute standardized project technical information in various formats, including but not limited to: PDF, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Design and develop technical approaches to project deliverables in accordance with vendor-published best practices.
  • Design | Deploy | Test: Wireless Network, IoT Solutions, and Security Solutions.
  • Align with the Managed Services and CX teams to develop Managed Services offerings within these emerging technologies.


Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology related major and 10+ Years of on-the-job experience.
• Wireless/IoT and/or
• Industrial Routing-Switching and/or
• Industrial Security

5-7 Years’ experience in a Technology Leadership role including:
• Security Components including: FIREPOWER, Identity Services Engine (ISE), Cyber Vision, IoTOD
• Wireless/IoT Technologies including: Access Points, WLCs, Lora-WAN, CGRs, CG-Mesh, ZigBee, 6LoWPAN, Management and Visibility Platforms
• Cisco Industrial Routing and Switching technologies
Professional Level Certifications – CCNP/CCDP

Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology related major and 15+ Years of on-the-job experience in an industrial technology setting.
Expert Level Certification – CCIE in R&S, Wireless or Security

• Must have experience in leading Cisco network & security deployments.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must possess excellent documentation skills and provide examples of such work.
• Must possess excellent presentation, organization and planning skills.
• Must balance presales and delivery effectively
• Must be able to work independently to achieve goals.
• Must be process and detail oriented.
• Must have excellent troubleshooting skills and be customer oriented.
• Must have access to a reliable transportation and be willing to travel within NJ/NYC/PA.

TRAVEL: Up to 50 % travel

EXPECTATIONS FOR DELIVERY: Candidate will be required to achieve 25% billable utilization.
