Intern

Location: Eatontown, NJ

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Interns provide support to various departments, while gaining supervised practical experience to specific operational departments.  The following departments provide internships to students:

Collaboration

The Collaboration intern supports the professional services engineering staff by ensuring required products are correctly shipped to customer locations and is ready for provisioning. Typically, the intern will provide physical installation of devices by installing cards in chassis and racking chassis & patch cables as directed.  Interns will work closely with project managers and document all equipment installed as instructed by engineering.

Digital Architecture

Perform and document inventory of equipment and project related assets, including hardware and related components, and licensing

Assemble hardware components and install devices into final mounted and operable positions, including physical connectivity for pow`er, network link, and human interface

Install configure and test the following Cisco Networking Infrastructure and related hardware, software products, and technologies.

  • Cisco Switching Devices (Cisco Catalyst 2k, 3k, 4k and 9k; Nexus 4k, 5k, 7k and 9k, etc.)
  • Cisco Routing Devices (Cisco 4k series and 1k series, etc.)
  • Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (Cisco 3504, 5520, 8540, etc.)
  • Cisco Wireless Access Points (2800, 3800, 4800, 9000 series)
  • Cisco Prime Infrastructure and DNA-C
  • Cisco ISE
  • Cisco Firewalls and FTDs

Enterprise Network

The Enterprise Network intern supports the engineering staff by ensuring required products are correctly inventoried, staged, configured and shipped to customer locations and are ready for deployment.  Interns will work closely with project managers and document all equipment installed as instructed by the PMs and engineering.  The intern will also provide physical installation of devices by installing cards in chassis and racking chassis & patch cables as directed.  Solutions the intern would be responsible to work on include:

  • Cisco Switching Devices (Cisco Catalyst 2k, 3k, 4k and 9k; Nexus 4k, 5k, 7k and 9k, etc.)
  • Cisco Routing Devices (Cisco 4k series and 1k series, etc.)
  • Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (Cisco 3504, 5520, 8540, etc.)
  • Cisco Wireless Access Points (2800, 3800, 4800, 9000 series)
  • Cisco Prime Infrastructure and DNA-C

NSOC

The NSOC Analyst intern contributes to a 24/7 Network and Security Operations Center within the Managed Services group. The NSOC Analyst intern is responsible for accurately identifying and resolving failures and potential issues while maintaining accurate documentation and executing maintenance and administrative activities on managed service client’s environment.

Sales Operations

The Sales Operations Intern position is a part of Aspire Technology Partners customer-focused Sales Operations team. The Sales Operations Intern supports the Sales Operations team by performing various tasks during the sales process and acting as Aspire’s primary reception support. As a representative of Aspire Technology Partners, the Sales Operations Intern will be responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism during the post ordering phase of our sales process.

Business Systems

The Business Systems intern contributes to the organization by supporting the applications and data that facilitate core internal business processes. The Business Systems intern will perform activities related to data stewardship, process documentation, and analytics reporting across multiple business systems. The intern may work with various stakeholders supporting data migration, implementation, and integration projects.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Pursuing a college degree in a related field with a minimum completed 2 years of college education.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Professional Appearance & Demeanor with Customers
  • Prefer GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • MS-WORD, EXCEL
  • General Interest in Information Technology
