The Catalyst 9000: Switching for the Next Generation of Networking (Aspirations Podcast, Episode 1)

At Cisco Live, Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins introduced Digital Network Architecture, coupled with Software Defined Access, to simplify and automate network management. Cisco DNA and The Intuitive Network provide the capabilities to enable the network to become intuitive, responsive, and adaptive.

DNA also gives businesses greater visibility into the network by providing contextualized data, which can be leveraged to anticipate and resolve security threats, and expedite business decisions. Cisco introduced a new line of switches for what they deem ‘an entirely new era of networking.’ The Catalyst 9000 switches serve as the foundation for this new era.

The new switches were designed for our cloudy and connected (IoT) world.

In the debut episode of Aspirations, Cody Harris, a Senior Solutions Architect for Aspire, and his guest, Kyle Turk, a Wireless Technical Lead and all-around technology guru for Aspire, discuss the Catalyst 9000 family of switches, their new capabilities and features, and why they’re a game-changer.
